SHORT STORY: Fork Union Military Academy's Cross Country team made its first-ever appearance at the Bristol Cross Invitational this past Saturday in Bristol, Tennessee, finishing 7th overall out of 26 teams. The Blue Devils were led by standout performances from David Eaton and Robert Callahan, who placed 5th and 10th, respectively, among a highly competitive field.
QUOTE: "This was our school's first trip to the Bristol Cross Invitational. It was a good weekend for us with two in the top 10," said head coach Winston Brown. "Eaton and Callahan both had great competitive efforts. We also had 11 season's bests, and our JV squad ran very well as a team. The boys also had the pleasure of meeting Vernon Miles, FUMA's first-ever All-State Cross Country runner from 1979."
