LOCATION: Danville, Va. | Averett University
SCORE: PG Lacrosse 22, Averett 5
RECORD: 18–2
SHORT STORY: Fork Union Military Academy's Postgraduate Lacrosse team delivered a dominant performance Tuesday afternoon, earning a 22–5 road victory over Averett University. The win improves the Blue Devils to 18–2 on the season.
QUOTE: "Our team competed at a high level for 60 minutes and everyone contributed to the victory, with 19 of our 22 goals being assisted, which was great to see the chemistry and unselfish play continue," said head coach
Chris Panos. "We were able to control the faceoffs and ground balls, which allowed us to earn extra opportunities on offense and was key to managing the game clock.
"The defense was stingy, the goaltending was outstanding, and the clearing was efficient. We also limited our penalties, so overall I was very happy with the effort and execution across the board. We still have quite a few things to improve and will review the film as we prepare for our next road matchup on February 14 at 1 p.m. versus Howard Community College in Columbia, Maryland."
