Fork Union Military Academy named Chris Panos as the head coach of the postgraduate lacrosse program in June 2023, as announced by Director of Athletics John Blake. Panos also serves as the Academy’s Associate Athletic Director.

Panos brings an unmatched combination of expertise, passion, and a stellar track record of success in both coaching and playing lacrosse, spanning high school, collegiate, and international levels.

In his first season at the helm of Fork Union’s inaugural postgraduate lacrosse program, Panos led the Blue Devils to a remarkable 17-10-2 record. Under his leadership, the team secured major wins over NCAA Division II and III opponents and finished the season as one of the top-10 postgraduate programs in the nation. For his efforts in building the program from the ground up and setting a competitive standard from day one, Panos was named Fork Union Military Academy’s 2025 Coach of the Year.

With 10 years of NCAA coaching experience on the field, with University of Tampa from 2014-2016 and Queens University of Charlotte from 2016-2023, Panos has excelled in coaching roles across all levels, most recently serving as the head coach of the NCAA Division I men’s lacrosse program at Queens University of Charlotte in North Carolina. As an athlete, he competed at the highest level in the National Lacrosse League (NLL) for 12 years, achieving accolades including NLL World Champion, NLL All-Star, and ranking seventh all-time in goals scored by a U.S.-born player.

Panos is also a three-time winner of the Mann Cup, the Canadian equivalent of the Stanley Cup, and proudly represented the Team USA Indoor Lacrosse team on four occasions. In November 2024, he was inducted into the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame as a member of the Victoria Shamrocks. He currently serves as Head Coach for the Greece National Box Lacrosse Team and as an assistant coach for the Greece National Field Team, a role he has held since 2018.

Since 2007, Panos has also served as President of Panos Lacrosse, a premier youth development platform focused on world-class training and mentorship for aspiring lacrosse players. More information can be found at www.PanosLacrosse.com.
