SHORT STORY: Fork Union Military Academy's swimming program went 6–1 at the Trinity Episcopal Invitational on Thursday afternoon at Swim RVA. The Blue Devils recorded nine top-three finishes and three event victories, defeating Richmond Christian, New Community, Miller School, Grace Christian, Christchurch, Benedictine, and Veritas, while falling to host Trinity Episcopal.
QUOTE: "We wrapped up our regular season with the meet at Trinity Episcopal," said head coach Jon Larson. "This meet is a little different, because instead of focusing on team points, we place swimmers in events to try to earn state qualifying times. We had two swimmers come very close to their first individual state cuts this season. Kaiden Myer missed the 100 backstroke by just .07 seconds, and Andrés Olalla-Casas missed the 100 breaststroke by .19. Even though they both narrowly missed, I think it gave them a lot of confidence heading into Prep League Championships tomorrow."
