SCORE: Fork Union 24, Montreat College 7
RECORD: 17–1
SHORT STORY: Fork Union Military Academy's Postgraduate Lacrosse program turned in another complete performance on Saturday afternoon, rolling past NAIA opponent Montreat College, 24–7, at Greensboro College. The victory marked the Blue Devils' 17th win of the season as they continued to showcase their depth, balance, and defensive intensity on both ends of the field.
Fork Union controlled the tempo from the opening whistle, moving the ball efficiently on offense while applying constant pressure defensively. Strong faceoff play and disciplined team defense limited Montreat's opportunities and fueled multiple scoring runs throughout the contest.
QUOTE:
"It was a strong team win and a great example of how we want to play," said head coach Chris Panos. "Having 21 of our 24 goals assisted shows our unselfishness and offensive chemistry. We controlled the faceoff, played disciplined defense, and got solid goaltending when we needed it. We're pleased with the result, but our focus now shifts to improving in the details as we prepare for a tough road test against Emory & Henry. We'll review the film this week, get back to work, and continue building."
