RECORD: 2–1
SHORT STORY: Fork Union Military Academy's Varsity Lacrosse team picked up a commanding 24–18 win over Norfolk Christian School on Wednesday afternoon at Stadium Field. The Blue Devils came out strong, building an early lead and holding off a second-half push by the visiting Ambassadors.
QUOTE: "I was incredibly impressed by our cadets' performance against Norfolk Christian," said head coach Thomas Gaeth. "We once again were able to get off to a hot start, and when the opposing team responded, our players did not back down. We built a solid lead by halftime. We struggled a bit early in the third quarter, some defensive mistakes gave them more shots on goal, but our offense didn't slow down and put up eight goals to help us maintain control. Overall, this was a great bounce-back game after the loss to Blue Ridge. I'm hopeful we can carry this momentum into our next matchup against Christchurch."
