SHORT STORY: Fork Union Military Academy's track and field program opened the home season in impressive fashion, placing first overall at its Mini Invitational on Tuesday afternoon while debuting the newly renovated Gus Lacy Track.
Competing against three visiting teams, the Blue Devils recorded 19 top-three finishes, including four event victories, to total 105.5 points and secure the team title. Fluvanna County finished second with 74.5 points, followed by Saint Anne's-Belfield (62), while Fishburne Military School rounded out the field.
