Track & Field Places Fifth at 27th Annual Gus Lacy Track Classic

DATE: Saturday, April 11, 2026
LOCATION: Fork Union, VA | The New Gus Lacy Track
RESULTS: 5th out of 17 teams

SHORT STORY: The Fork Union Military Academy outdoor track & field team delivered a strong showing on its home track, placing fifth overall at the 27th Annual Gus Lacy Track Classic Saturday afternoon. The Blue Devils recorded 23 top-10 finishes and five medal-winning performances in a highly competitive field of 17 teams on the men's side.

Hosting more than 30 teams overall at the newly renovated Gus Lacy Track, the meet also served as a special homecoming for the program, welcoming back numerous alumni and honoring this year's distinguished guests, John Ransone and Fred Hardy. Although Micky Sullivan was unable to attend, he was recognized in spirit as part of the celebration.
