Seven Postgraduate Lacrosse Players Sign National Letters of Intent

FORK UNION, VA — Fork Union Military Academy proudly announced that seven members of its Postgraduate Lacrosse program signed National Letters of Intent during a signing ceremony held Wednesday morning at the Estes Athletic Center.

The student-athletes and their college commitments are: "Days like today are what this program is all about," said head coach Chris Panos. "These young men have invested an incredible amount of time and effort into their development on and off the field, and it's rewarding to see that commitment pay off. Each of them now has the opportunity to continue competing at the next level, and I'm proud of the way they've represented our program and our Academy. Collectively, this group earned more than $700,000 in academic and athletic scholarships, and I truly believe Fork Union provided them with the foundation and structure to succeed. I can't wait to follow their journeys and watch what they accomplish in the next chapter of their lives."

Mason Simle is a senior goalkeeper from Strasbourg, Saskatchewan, and the son of Christine and Scott Simle. A two-year member of the program, Simle will continue his lacrosse career at Indiana Tech.

Landon Lofters is a first-year postgraduate attackman from Snellville, Georgia, and the son of Heather and Kurt Lofters. He will continue his career at Barry University.

Nate Wiens is a first-year postgraduate attackman from Warman, Saskatchewan, and the son of Darlene VanBrabant and Mark Wiens. He will join Lofters at Barry University.

Danny Gardill is a first-year postgraduate attackman from Southern Shores, North Carolina, and the son of Dorothy Higham-Gardill and Gregory Gardill. He will continue his lacrosse career at Frostburg State University.

Tim Beach is a first-year postgraduate faceoff specialist and defender from Dundalk, Maryland, and the son of Timothy and Tiffany Beach. He will continue his career at Albright College.

Kaia Pierce is a first-year postgraduate midfielder from Sarnia, Ontario, and the son of Benjamin Pierce. He will join Lofters and Wiens at Barry University.

Adam Rotunda is a first-year postgraduate defender from Suwanee, Georgia, and the son of Jennifer and James Rotunda. He will continue his career at Penn State Harrisburg.

With these seven signings, the Postgraduate Lacrosse program has now produced eight college commitments this year. Together, this group has earned more than $700,000 in combined academic and athletic scholarship support.
