SCORE: Varsity Basketball 49, Fishburne Military 36
RECORD: 1–8
SHORT STORY: Fork Union Military Academy's Varsity Basketball team delivered a strong all-around performance Thursday night, earning a 49–36 home victory over Fishburne Military School at Thomas Gym. The squad set the tone defensively, limiting quality looks and finishing possessions with disciplined rebounding, while improved ball movement on offense created open scoring opportunities.
QUOTE: "I'm really proud of how our team competed," said head coach Ben Cooper. "Defensively, we made it tough for Fishburne to get good shots and did a much better job finishing possessions with rebounds. Offensively, the ball moved well and led to open looks. Most importantly, they played together and continued to show growth. This group has worked hard all season, and it's been fun to coach and watch them develop."
