FORK UNION, VA – Fork Union Military Academy is proud to announce that
Ethan Medley, a member of the Postgraduate Football program, has officially signed a National Letter of Intent to play football at Presbyterian College. The signing ceremony took place Wednesday afternoon in Thomas Gymnasium, marking a significant milestone in Medley's athletic and academic journey.
"It speaks volumes about Ethan and his family that they traveled back to campus to celebrate this moment with us," said head coach Frank Arritt. "This is a joyful occasion that reflects the hard work Ethan put into the Fork Union process, both athletically and academically, to reach the next level and sign with Presbyterian College. While at Fork Union, Ethan truly embodied our motto of body, mind, and spirit. He never missed a workout or training session, maintained strong academics, and continued to improve every day. He was also a strong spiritual leader who led by example and uplifted his teammates. I'm excited to celebrate this moment and congratulate Ethan and his family on this tremendous accomplishment."
Medley, the son of Melinda and Paul Medley of Chester, Virginia, joined the Academy's postgraduate football team from Thomas Dale High School, where the 6-foot-3 athlete played quarterback and free safety for the Blue Devils.
"First, I want to thank God for allowing me to be here today," Medley said. "I'm incredibly grateful to my family for supporting me and putting me in this position. I also want to thank Coach Taylor for bringing me to Fork Union. Coming to the Academy was a huge step in my journey and played a major role in allowing me to commit today. I'm thankful to everyone in Delta Company for helping me through the past four months, my teammates for their support, and the coaching staff at Presbyterian College for giving me this opportunity."
Congratulations to Ethan Medley on this outstanding achievement.
