SHORT STORY: Fork Union Military Academy's Postgraduate Football team delivered a strong road performance Friday afternoon, defeating Wagner College's JV squad, 24–12, at Wagner College Stadium in Staten Island, New York. The Blue Devils controlled both sides of the ball throughout the game to secure the win and improve to 4–3 on the season.
Kicker Tristam Naifeh opened the scoring with a 12-yard field goal, giving Fork Union early momentum. Shortly after,
Keinard Tyler ignited the defense with a pick-six, returning an interception for a touchdown. Naifeh added the extra point to extend the lead.
The offense continued to roll behind rushing touchdowns from
Chase Belin and
Alex Bryson, each followed by successful extra points from Naifeh. Fork Union's balanced offensive attack featured powerful runs by
Ethan Medley, Bryson, Belin, and
Reilly Bechtel, complemented by key receptions from
Carter Harrod,
Carter Reid,
Okie Edwards, Tyler, Bechtel, and
Dominic Diaz-Ellis.
Defensively, the Blue Devils were relentless. The unit consistently pressured Wagner's offense, highlighted by sacks from
Willie DeSantis,
Aidan Washington,
Jack Earley, and
John Welborn, who recorded multiple sacks. Washington,
Raymond Vanover, and
Alex Moore each added tackles for loss. The defining defensive moment came late in the game when Earley forced a strip sack recovered by Washington, ending a Wagner drive and sealing the victory.
