FORK UNION, VA – Fork Union Military Academy is proud to announce that postgraduate basketball player Jaiden Arnold has officially signed his National Letter of Intent to continue his athletic and academic career at Purdue University Fort Wayne.

The signing ceremony took place Wednesday morning in the Estes Athletic Center, where teammates, coaches, and staff gathered to celebrate this exciting milestone in Arnold's journey.

"This is a very exciting day for our basketball program as Jaiden signs with Coach Jon Coffman and Purdue Fort Wayne," said head coach Bob Williams. "Coach Coffman runs an excellent program in the Horizon League, and his staff did a great job recruiting Jaiden. He's been outstanding for Fork Union (5–0) so far this season. He's jet-quick, talented, and unselfish. Jaiden gets his teammates involved with pinpoint passing, and his defensive pressure fuels our transition game. He's a dynamic scorer who can finish at the rim, hit from midrange, and shoot the three. I expect him to make an immediate impact next year for Purdue Fort Wayne."

Arnold, the son of Jennifer Steele of Cincinnati, Ohio, joined Fork Union this year as part of the Postgraduate Basketball Program. The point guard has been a key contributor, averaging 16 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds, and 3.8 steals per game, while shooting 54% from the field, 37.5% from three-point range, and 75% from the free-throw line. He recorded a season-high 26 points against Terror Prep.

"I want to thank my teammates. Wthout you all, I wouldn't have made it this far," Arnold said. "I also want to thank Coach Bob for giving me this opportunity and for believing in me. Thank you to everyone who came out to support me today; it means so much, especially being away from my family. And to my family, thank you for being my biggest supporters and always pushing me to be my best."
