LOCATION: Woodstock, Va. | Massanutten Military Academy

RECORD: 17–8 overall, 6–2 Elite Prep League
SHORT STORY: Fork Union Military Academy's postgraduate basketball program went 1–1 over the weekend at the Elite Prep League Circuit hosted by Massanutten Military Academy. The Blue Devils opened the weekend with a decisive 86–57 victory over S3 Academy before falling to longtime military-school rival Hargrave Military Academy, 79–72.
QUOTE: "Fork Union played really well on Friday against S3 Academy, who is a talented team," said head coach
Bob Williams. "It continued a stretch of good basketball for our team over several games. Many players contributed.
"On Saturday against Hargrave, we got out to a 24–8 lead. In our scouting report, one of the keys was to persevere through Hargrave's runs because that's what they've done all year. They can give up 10–12 straight points and then score the same amount in a hurry. We actually went on a 24–2 run in the first half.
"Unfortunately, we did not have an answer for their top player, Pendergrass, who scored 35. Hargrave is very talented, and we just didn't have the answers to match their scoring down the stretch of the final six minutes."
