SHORT STORY: Fork Union Military Academy's postgraduate basketball program went 1–1 at the Elite Prep League Circuit hosted by Western Reserve Academy over the weekend. The Blue Devils opened play with a hard-fought 77–74 victory over IX International before falling in a narrow 69–68 contest to host Western Reserve Academy.

QUOTE: "Our team played very well at the EPL 7 event at Western Reserve Academy," said head coach Bob Williams. "The game with IX International was a nail-biter. We led for much of the contest but found ourselves down four points inside of two minutes. Our guys responded, scoring the final seven points to secure the win. Finn Perschau hit the game-winning three, and we had strong contributions from Steven Puchynski, who knocked down three threes and played great defense, and Adarius Boston, who finished with 18 points.

"The win set up a big matchup with host Western Reserve the next day. We knew it would be a challenge against a talented team that included five Division I signees. Western Reserve shot extremely well in the first half and built a significant lead, but our team responded with an outstanding second half, battling back to take a late lead. Unfortunately, we surrendered the advantage with 11 seconds remaining and were unable to convert at the rim in the final seconds. It was a terrific game between two very competitive teams. Adarius Boston had an impressive weekend, scoring 28 points with five threes, while Finn Perschau added 16 points and 10 rebounds."
