SHORT STORY: Fork Union Military Academy's postgraduate basketball program closed out its season in impressive fashion, advancing to the championship game of the 2026 Phenom Hoops PG National Tournament before falling to DME PG, 90–61, on Sunday evening at the Rock Hill Sports & Event Center.

The squad earned their spot in the championship matchup with victories over three quality opponents, showcasing their depth, resilience, and high-level play throughout the tournament.

QUOTE: "I thought our team performed very well overall at the Phenom Prep Nationals," said head coach Bob Williams. "Winning three out of four contests is a positive. We fell short in the championship game, and fatigue may have factored in. Our players looked very good, and several of them were offered scholarships by college coaches. Additionally, many of our players gained significant recruiting attention from the college coaches in attendance.

"I'm pleased with how our players and our team improved throughout the season. We were only one EPL win away from winning the Elite Prep League regular season title. A top-four finish in the EPL is strong in a league of 13 teams. The team finished 23–12 overall with several quality victories, including a win over EPL champion and rival Massanutten Military Academy. It was an enjoyable group of young men to work with. It's truly a blessing to see them grow stronger in the weight room and improve on the court. We are working hard to place each of them into college basketball programs and look forward to following their careers and lives beyond Fork Union."
