SHORT STORY:
Fork Union Military Academy's Postgraduate basketball program started the New Year with a highly competitive Elite Prep League event at the Perkiomen School. Despite a narrow loss to a strong Andrews Osborne Academy team on Saturday, the Blue Devils bounced back with a commanding win over Winston-Salem Christian Academy on Sunday.

"It was a good weekend overall for our team," said head coach
Bob Williams. "We played three very good halves out of four. Unfortunately, in the second half against Andrews Osborne, we ran out of gas. We were shorthanded with three players unavailable.
On Sunday, our team performed exceptionally well. We held Winston-Salem Christian to just 15 points in the first half and limited them to 32% shooting for the game. It was one of our best defensive performances of the season. Our defense has been solid all year, holding opponents to 37% shooting on average.
John Mobley had an incredible weekend, leading the team in scoring for both games, including 27 points on Sunday. Colleges are already reaching out to him because of his standout performance. Isaiah Vick, Jordan Clayton, Javon Brooks, Jacob King, and Zech Lilly all contributed significantly, making this a successful Elite Prep League event overall."

Saturday vs. Andrews Osborne Academy
- John Mobley led the squad with an impressive 23-point performance.
- Isaiah Vick followed with 19 points and eight rebounds.
Sunday vs. Winston-Salem Christian Academy
- John Mobley again led the squad with 26 points, seven rebounds, and four steals.

The Blue Devils return to Thomas Gymnasium on Thursday, January 16, to face Southern Virginia's JV. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
