SHORT STORY: Fork Union Military Academy's Postgraduate basketball team secured two strong victories over the weekend, defeating Shooting 4 Greatness (93-74) on Friday and overpowering Central Carolina Prep (95-60) on Saturday afternoon in the Fork Union Classic.

QUOTE: "The Fork Union Classic was a success with some great basketball early in the season," said head coach Bob Williams. "Shooting 4 Greatness' zone defense challenged us on Friday. Although we made 13 three-pointers, it took 47 attempts - much more than usual. Hap Brooks (19 points on Friday) was particularly impactful in both games, with his shooting, ballhandling, and passing making a difference. Kaleb Spencer also had a standout weekend (20 points, 11 rebounds on Saturday), showing his scoring versatility and rebounding on both ends. Overall, it was a weekend we can build upon, and having the Corps of Cadets there made for an exciting atmosphere."

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Against Shooting 4 Greatness:

• Jordan Clayton led with 20 points, with Hap Brooks close behind, scoring 19 points.
• Isaiah Vick contributed 15 points, and Kaleb Spencer added 12.
• Cameron Quarles hit three three-pointers, while Zech Lilly recorded eight points.

Against Central Carolina Prep:

• Kaleb Spencer posted a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds.
• Isaiah Vick added 19 points, eight rebounds, and five dunks.
• Jordan Clayton contributed 15 points, eight assists, and seven steals.
• Nile Ebi tallied 10 points and seven rebounds, while Hap Brooks added two three-pointers and nine assists.
