LOCATION: Fork Union, VA | Thomas Gym
SCORE: PG Basketball 91, Thomas Ridge 63
RECORD: 6-1 Overall
SHORT STORY: Fork Union Military Academy's Postgraduate basketball team secured a decisive 91-63 victory over Thomas Ridge on Saturday evening at Thomas Gymnasium.
QUOTE: "With only a 6-point lead at halftime, it was good to be challenged," said head coach
Bob Williams. "Our team responded with a big run to start the second half, and those first five minutes really set the tone for the rest of the game. After reviewing the film, we see a need to improve our individual defense and gap responsibilities. Our defensive urgency and footwork need to step up, but the good news is we have a lot of offensive talent. Now we just need to bring it all together."
"
Cameron Quarles shot exceptionally well, hitting five three-pointers," added Williams. "
Isaiah Vick has been a consistent force this season with both scoring and rebounding.
Kaleb Spencer,
Nile Ebi, and
Jordan Clayton also made strong contributions."
