LOCATION: Fork Union, VA | Thomas Gym
SCORE: PG Basketball 78, Louisburg College 61
RECORD: 2-1 Overall
SHORT STORY: Fork Union Military Academy's Postgraduate basketball team opened its home schedule with a strong win over Louisburg College, improving to 2-1 for the season.
QUOTE: "Louisburg is always a good early-season test because they have college sophomores on the team," said Head Coach Bob Williams. "I was pleased with our team defense, especially holding them to 61 points. We're beginning to play stronger and more physically, and our rebounding has really improved. Although Louisburg tied the game at 47 with about 11 minutes left, we got hot from 3-point range down the stretch and closed with a 31-14 run. It was a good win."
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Jacob King led the team with 18 points and five rebounds.
- Isaiah Vick contributed 14 points, including five dunks.
- Kaleb Spencer recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
