RECORD: 17-9-2
SHORT STORY: Fork Union Military Academy's Postgraduate Lacrosse team made history on Saturday with an 18-3 victory over Warren Wilson College in the program's first-ever home game at Stadium Field.
QUOTE: "We started off fast and worked hard on both ends of the field to build an 8-1 lead in the first quarter," said Head Coach Chris Panos. "We kept the pressure on in the second quarter and took a commanding 12-2 lead into halftime. In the third, we added four more goals while allowing just one, pushing the lead to 16-3. We finished strong, scoring two more and shutting them out in the fourth to earn a well-fought 18-3 victory."
Coach Panos praised the team's unselfish play, noting that 17 of the 18 goals were assisted, highlighting strong ball movement and high-percentage plays.
However, he also addressed areas for improvement: "We need to improve our discipline, composure, and emotional control. We committed 11 penalties, which is far too many."
