FORK UNION, VA – Sophomore Giovanni Garcia of the Fork Union Military Academy Varsity Soccer team has earned 2025 All-Virginia Prep League (VPL) honors, the League announced Monday. This marks the first VPL recognition for the Varsity Soccer program since the 2017 season.

"Giovanni has been a tremendous addition to our team this season," said head coach Nolan De Four. "He brought great energy and technical ability that elevated the entire group. He finished tied for first in the Prep League for most goals and third overall in total points. We're extremely proud of him for earning this recognition and representing Fork Union at such a high level."

On the season, Garcia recorded 15 goals and played a pivotal role in the team's offensive success. The sophomore midfielder hails from Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, and is the son of Janelle Thomas and Fabian Garcia.
