FORK UNION, VA– The Fork Union Military Academy Junior Prep tennis team defeated Saint Anne's Belfield, 5-4, Thursday afternoon on the Belfield Campus.
The win lifts the Blue Devils to 2-2 overall.
"I am really proud of our boys," said head coach
Sonia Brandon. "Our players have been working so hard this season and its really starting to pay off. This is the first time in many years that Fork Union has defeated Saint Anne's Belfield. We are looking forward to have them at home next week."
Both teams battled as they split the singles competition, 3-3, heading into doubles. Fork Union's top two pairs recorded wins that secured the victory.
