SHORT STORY: Fork Union Military Academy's cross country team turned in a strong performance at the Woodberry Forest Invitational on Friday, placing second among 11 teams and finishing as the top Virginia Prep League program in the field.

Four Blue Devils placed inside the top 20, led by Noah St. Julien's runner-up finish and David Eaton's fourth-place performance. Fork Union finished just behind Centreville High School, a VHSL Class 6 program, in the team standings.

QUOTE: "We ran really smart and came so close to beating a Class 6 school, Virginia's largest classification," said head coach Winston Brown. "Noah St. Julien and David Eaton ran the course pretty close to perfectly. We had the score down to one point with 400 meters to go, and we can still really improve."
