Fork Union Military Academy honored its winter athletic teams and standout performers during the Winter Athletic Awards Ceremony held this past Wednesday in the Estes Dining Hall. Coaches, cadets, and staff gathered to celebrate a season defined by growth, competitiveness, and significant achievements across six programs: Wrestling, Swimming, Varsity Basketball, JV Basketball, Middle School Basketball, and Indoor Track & Field.
Wrestling:
The wrestling program finished 20th at the VISAA State Championships and fourth in the Virginia Prep League, with two cadets placing among the top eight at States.
Swimming:
Fork Union Swimming placed fourth in the Prep League and 19th at States, highlighted by three individual cadets and three relay teams scoring points at the state meet.

Varsity Basketball:
Varsity Basketball closed its season with a victory over Fishburne Military School.
JV Basketball:
The JV squad finished the season 5–11, earning wins over Carmel School, Fishburne Military School, Norfolk Christian, and Banner Christian.
Middle School Basketball:
Middle School Basketball completed a strong 3–2 season, highlighted by two wins over Saint Anne's-Belfield School and a victory against Keswick School.

Indoor Track & Field:
Indoor Track & Field delivered an impressive postseason, finishing fourth at the Prep League Championships and seventh at the VISAA State Championships. At States, cadets earned two podium finishes and a fourth-place relay performance. The Prep League meet featured five podium finishes, including two individual event champions.
The ceremony served as a celebration of perseverance, sportsmanship, and the continued rise of Fork Union athletics.
