SHORT STORY: The Fork Union Military Academy wrestling team competed at Virginia Episcopal School this past Tuesday, finishing with a 1-1 record. The team delivered a dominant performance against VES, winning 60-6, but fell to Liberty Christian 48-23 in a hard-fought match.

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:

• Senior Lucius Havens secured a pin against Liberty Christian.
• Junior Val Kelestyn achieved a Tech Fall against Liberty Christian.
• Junior Bradley Langabeer earned a pin against VES.
• Senior Joseph Athey recorded a pin against VES.
• Senior Obi Okoturo added a pin against VES.
• Freshman Marcus Daniel also contributed a pin against VES.

The team demonstrated strong individual efforts and teamwork throughout the event and will look to build on their performances in upcoming matches.

UP NEXT: Fork Union will hit the road Saturday, January 18 when the Blue Devils travel to the Randolph Henry Tournament at Randolph Henry High School.
