Coach Aaron Hill enters his first season with the Fork Union Military Academy Post Grad Basketball Program, bringing a strong combination of collegiate playing experience, coaching, player development, recruiting, basketball training, and leadership expertise. Coach Hill comes to Fork Union from Randolph College , where he previously served as a Grad Assistant Coach with the Men’s Basketball Program.
Prior to Randolph, he served as both a Head Coach and Assistant Coach with the Lynchburg Patriots, a homeschool basketball organization in Lynchburg, Virginia. During his time at Randolph, Coach Hill earned his Master of Arts in Coaching & Sports Leadership, gaining valuable experience in the knowledge of coaching. Coach Hill earned his bachelor's degree in graphic design from Liberty University, giving him additional expertise in social media, branding, content creation, and digital marketing—skills he brings to the basketball program both on and off the court.
As a former collegiate player, Coach Hill spent two seasons playing basketball at the University of Valley Forge, giving him firsthand experience with the commitment, discipline, preparation, and work ethic required to compete at the next level. Coach Hill is also the Owner and Lead Trainer of Hill Hoops Basketball Training, a professional-youth basketball training business based in Central Virginia. Through Hill Hoops, he works with players of various ages and skill levels, focusing on skill development through a philosophy centered around being dedicated, focused, strategic, passionate, and intense while keeping a positive atmosphere helping each player pursue their ultimate goals through the game of basketball. At Fork Union,
Coach Hill will serve as the Post Grad Assistant Basketball Coach, working closely with player development, recruiting, scouting, film breakdown, game preparation, and other day-to-day responsibilities within the program. Coach Hill will also serve as a Residential Director, overseeing Post Grad student-athletes in the barracks while providing structure, accountability, mentorship, and leadership.
