Hired in August of 2016

Reginald "Reggie" Barnette was hired in August of 2016 as an athletic intern, coaching PG football and Junior Prep basketball, and working in the Commandant's Department. After a year and a half, Barnette was promoted to his current title, an Admissions Counselor, and named the Defensive Coordinator for the Prep football team. In 2019, Barnette helped the Prep football team to its first VISAA Playoff appearance since 2012.

In the summer of 2020, the Salem, Va., native was named the head coach of the Prep Basketball Program.

Barnette is a 2014 graduate of the University of Richmond, where he was a four-year letter winner on the football team and earned a Political Science degree with a minor in History. Barnette is married to Assistant Athletic Director Kelly Barnette.
